Are fatty nuts a weighty concern? A systematic review and meta-analysis and dose-response meta-regression of prospective cohorts and randomized controlled trials

Methods

This article was a systematic review and meta-analysis designed to explore the relationship between nut consumption and weight gin. Using the GRADE assessments tool, 6 cohort studies and 86 randomized controlled trials were included in the analysis.

Key Findings

Key Findings: The results showed that nut consumption was associated with lower incidence of overweight/obesity, with moderate certainty of evidence. Randomized controlled trials showed no adverse effect of nut consumption on body weight. Higher nut intake was associated with lower body weight and body fat.
